Delete Your Account

You can delete your ChartScan AI account and everything stored with it from inside the app, at any time, without contacting us. It takes about thirty seconds.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the ChartScan AI app and sign in with the account you want to delete. Deletion is done from inside the account itself, so you have to be signed in as that user.
  2. Go to the Profile tab, at the far right of the bar along the bottom of the screen.
  3. Find the “Account” section and tap “Delete Account.”
  4. Enter your password and tap “Delete Forever.” The password is asked for because this cannot be undone — it stops an unlocked, unattended phone from destroying an account in two taps.

Your account is deleted immediately, and you are returned to the sign-in screen. There is no waiting period, no confirmation email, and nothing to cancel afterwards.

This cannot be undone There is no grace period and no way to recover a deleted account. If you sign up again with the same email address, you get a new, empty account — your previous scan history does not come back.

What is deleted

Everything tied to your account is removed from our live database in a single operation. Nothing is kept behind in a “deleted” state.

About backups. Your data is removed from the live database immediately. Database backups taken before the deletion still contain it, and those roll off on a 14-day retention schedule. We do not edit historical backups, because a backup that has been altered is one you cannot trust to restore from. Your data is fully gone once the last backup containing it expires — the same schedule described in the Privacy Policy.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel billing If you have an active ChartScan AI subscription, you must cancel it through Google Play. Subscriptions are managed entirely by Google — we cannot cancel, change, or refund one on your behalf, and deleting your account here would otherwise leave you still being charged.

Cancel it before deleting your account, so you are not paying for something you can no longer sign in to:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  3. Select ChartScan AI and tap Cancel subscription.

You can also manage it at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google under its own policy, not by us.

If you cannot sign in

The in-app route needs your password, and there is currently no password reset. If you have lost access to your account and still want it deleted, email support@chartscanai.com from the address the account was registered with, and we will delete it for you. We may ask a question only the account holder could answer, so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted by asking.
